Fernando Mendes takes over as TQ’s Commercial Director

TQ Travel Quality has just hired Fernando Mendes as its Commercial Director.

Known for his long career in the sector, Fernando Mendes also takes on the role of partner at TQ, with executive functions at Commercial, Marketing and Operations level.

In addition to this contract, TQ Travel Quality will now have another branch – “TQ Saldanha” – located at Praça José Fontana no. 16 A, which will open in June. In addition to Fernando Mendes, the team at this new branch is made up of Vanda Quintais (head of agency), Fátima Oliveira and Ana Pinto.

Fernando Mendes was managing partner of Equador & Mendes between 2000 and 2016, a company that initially operated as Equador, then became Star after the group was sold to Sonae and later became Geostar. Previously, between 1984 and 2000, he worked at Top Tours, from agency manager to director. He began his career in 1982 at Igestur – a travel and tourism agency – as a tourism technician. He specializes in MICE, corporate and tailor-made travel.
